Hurricane Helene just made its way across a large area of the United States, and she brought a wide path of destruction. It was scary for so many people, and yet others realized huge blessings when the storm scooted past them. Should we tell our loved ones with dementia about impending storms? Do we discuss the storm in front of them? Listen in to learn the answer. This episode provides more details on grounding yourself and the person who might be near you. Just touching them also helps to ground them. It can be very beneficial for your loved one with dementia, also. Grounding is healing!

If you have to change the facts to bring peace and joy in the life of your loved one with dementia, will your nose grow?
When the weather turns nasty, does it have an effect on how you feel? It is not uncommon.
It is VERY common for the weather to affect your loved one with dementia. I very often talk with families and realize their loved one with dementia is taking one or more medications that are not recommended for individuals with dementia. Don't let this happen. Do some research. Call your pharmacist. Be careful! Their health depends upon it. |
